High School Team Camp

Our Team-Competition Camp will consist of both a High School and a Middle School division. A $15 discount per camper is available for programs bringing a team of 12 or more for both divisions and teams of 12 or more who commit to attend camp and pay the $500 team deposit before March 1.  All meals will be served in Virginia Tech's # 1 national ranked dining hall. The Kevin Dresser's Team-Competition Camp is designed around individual competition while using a TEAM CONCEPT that allows campers to participate with their team. If you attend camp as an individual or in a small group you will be placed on a team. This camp will consist of both competition (dual meets/individual tournament) and technique sessions. All technique will be taught by the Virginia Tech coaching staff or the upper classmen on the Hokie wrestling team. Each camper will be guaranteed between 12 and 18 matches. In recent years this camp has emerged as one of the top team camps on the East coast. If you are a high school or middle school coach looking for a camp where all you have to do is coach and evaluate your kids, then this camp will be perfect for you. We will provide each match (mat) with a referee (often times a certified HS official), a digital score clock, two table workers to keep time and score, and a member of the Virginia Tech wrestling team to assist you with coaching duties. All you have to do is show up coach and have fun!!!!! Last year ALL head coaches received a free oversized embroidered VT Nike backpack as part of their registration fee. We will also hold a nightly coaches social giving you the opportunity to spend time and get too know our staff. We also provide Cliff Keen sublimated camp ALL-STAR singlets to those wrestlers selected to the camp All-Star match. The two teams that advance to the championship match will wear actual Hokie team singlets in the finals! You and your team will also be invited to stick around and watch the Virginia Tech wrestlers live wrestle, and see why we have emerged as one of the nation's premier wrestling programs!
Registration can either be completed using the attached paper form or by using the our online team registration process.  Having your team register online eliminates all paper forms, notifies coaches when a wrestlers from his team has registered and allows coaches to veiw what team members have regsitered.  If you opt to use the team online registration please notify Coach Robie (trobie@vt.edu) that you plan to attend and he can add your team to the system.
We have modified the weight-classes to the 12 weights below for Team Camp.  Wrestlers will only have to weigh-in once at camp check-in on July 18.  The weights below are scratch weights;
