The goal of our Middle School Competition Camp is to srike a balance between competition and technique. All technique will be taught by the Virginia Tech coaching staff or the upper classmen on the Hokie wrestling team. Each camper will be guaranteed between 10 and 15 matches. Both individual campers and teams are encouraged to attend this camp. Campers will also be invited to stick around and watch the Virginia Tech wrestlers live wrestle, and see why we have emerged as one of the nation's premier wrestling programs! A $15 discount per camper is available for programs bringing a team of 12 or more for both divisions (HS and MS) and teams who commit to attend camp and pay the $500 team deposit before March 1. All meals will be served in Virginia Tech's # 1 national ranked dining hall.
We do NOT encourage any weight cutting for this camp. Campers will be weighed-in on the first day of camp and placed in competition pools with other wrestlers of SIMILAR weight. We will do our best to make sure that campers compete against other wrestlers of similar size.
