The Hokie Mat Club will be used to reach out to donors on a more personal level. If you know someone who might donate to the wrestling program at Virginia Tech and has supported the program for years, we would like them to donate or continue to donate to the Hokie Mat Club.
Donations made to the Hokie Mat Club will primarily go towards supporting our new Volunteer Coach Lance Palmer. Lance is a 4x All American from Ohio State and last year's NCAA Runner Up at 149 lbs. Based on NCAA rules, the VTAF is not allowed to support our volunteer coach; therefore contributions to the Hokie Mat Club are vital. Contributions will be used to help Lance (and the staff) conduct clinics throughout the Commonwealth to promote Virginia Tech and the sport of wrestling.
We are starting a campaign for the Hokie Mat Club. The campaign is called 50 for 500 and 10 for 1,000. We are aiming to have 50 people donate $500 and 10 people donate $1,000 by January 1. We really need your help to reach our goals for this campaign! If you have anyone interested in supporting this campaign contact Tim Myers at tmyers@vt.edu.

The Take Down Club is the VTAF's way of knowing that any donations made to the VTAF will be earmarked to wrestling. Please make checks payable to theVTAF/TAKE DOWN CLUB. This ensures that donations are earmarked to the wrestling program.
The Take Down Club will consists of 3 levels:
1. The entry level of support is $100: This gets each member in to each of the post home match Social events as well as ACC Tournament Social events and NCAA Social events.
2. The next tier level of support is $250: This gets members into Social events plus a VT Wrestling Nike polo shirt. We really want to see lots of maroon in the stands throughout the year all the way into Philly!
3. The $500 level tier: This receives all of the above plus a VT Wrestling sweatshirt hoodie!
Donations made to the VTAF/Take Down Club will go towards funding projects like the new wrestling graphics package recently added to our wrestling facility. These graphics transformed our wrestling facility from great to amazing! Donations will also go to support new work out machines, weights, new VT wrestling mats, new Nike Polos, and new Virginia Tech Wrestling gear for fans. Lastly, VTAF donations will send our wrestlers to the 2011 National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa!
